Projects

The houses tell the story best.

Every project starts as a vacant or distressed property and ends as a home a family can trust. We publish each one here, honestly, with the photos to prove it. This page will grow.

Renovated two-story brick house at 438 N. Fairmount with new cream siding, new windows, and a rebuilt front entry Completed project
After: 438 N. Fairmount, Pittsburgh, PA - Completed project

438 N. Fairmount

Pittsburgh, PA

This house is where the foundation’s work begins: a vacant, underutilized two-story that had stopped serving anyone. Our crew renovated it the way we renovate everything, to a fully updated, healthy, move-in-ready standard built to need minimal maintenance for years.

The scope covered the systems and surfaces a first-time owner should never have to worry about: new windows, new siding over sound brick, a rebuilt front entry, and attention to the environmental hazards older Pittsburgh houses carry, with inspection and remediation planning for lead-based paint, asbestos, mold, and radon.

The goal for this home, as with every home we renovate, is an owner-occupant sale at or near break-even to an income-qualified buyer. Beyond one family’s front door, the project returns the property to use and to the tax rolls, and a stabilized house strengthens the whole street. It also serves as the launching pad that establishes our capacity for the revitalization work ahead.

Before photos for this project are on the way and will be added here.
