These terms cover your use of hopegrowsathome.org. They are short and written to be read. The one-sentence version: this site is here to inform you and help you reach us, and nothing on it is a binding offer of housing, funding, or professional advice.

"We," "us," and "our" mean The Hope Grows at Home Foundation, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, 527 McNeilly Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15226.

Agreement to these terms

By using this website you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You can always reach us by phone instead at 412-592-1605.

Who we are

The Hope Grows at Home Foundation is a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation established in 2025. Our application for federal recognition of tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) has been filed and is pending. We buy vacant and distressed houses in the Pittsburgh area, renovate them, and sell them at or near break-even to income-qualified owner-occupant buyers, alongside related housing stability, education, and community revitalization programs.

Informational purposes only

Everything on this site is provided for general information. In particular:

  • Nothing here is an offer to sell or lease any specific property, or a commitment that any property is or will be available.
  • Program descriptions summarize how our programs are designed to work; the programs themselves are governed by their formal criteria and documents, which control if there is any difference.
  • Prices, timelines, and project details can change as projects progress.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, or real estate advice. Buying a home is a major decision. We require independent, HUD-approved homebuyer education and counseling for our buyers precisely so that qualified professionals, not a website, guide those decisions.

Program eligibility

Eligibility for our housing programs is determined using objective, nondiscriminatory criteria, including household income, mortgage readiness, and program fit, applied through our formal application process. Descriptions on this website do not establish eligibility, and submitting the contact form does not create an application or a place in line.

We are committed to fair housing. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Use the contact form to send spam, malicious code, or unlawful content.
  • Attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it.
  • Scrape or harvest information from the site for commercial purposes.

Ownership of content

The text, photographs, and logo on this site belong to the foundation or are used with permission. You are welcome to share links to the site and to quote it reasonably with attribution. Please do not reuse our photographs or logo without asking first; we usually say yes.

Third-party links

We link to outside resources, such as HUD-approved counseling providers and partner organizations. Those sites are not ours, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it accurate and current, but we make no warranties, express or implied, about completeness, accuracy, or availability, and we may change or remove content at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the foundation and its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, the changes will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
